Effective 4 October 2026
Privacy policy
Bandless splits songs into their instruments on your phone. Your songs and recordings are never uploaded. This policy explains the data that does leave your phone, for purchases and for ads in the free version, and why.
Who we are
Bandless is made by CV Rama Teknologi Nusantara ("we"), Cikoneng Prima Estate 21, Bojongsoang, Kab. Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. We are responsible for your personal data under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and, for users in the European Economic Area and the UK, the GDPR. Questions go to support@ramelo.id.
Your songs and recordings stay on your phone
- Songs you add. When you choose a file, share one to Bandless or record a song, the audio is copied into Bandless's private storage on your phone. Splitting it into instruments, finding the tempo and chords, and measuring the levels all happen on your phone. No audio is sent to us or to anyone else.
- The microphone. Bandless uses the microphone only while you record a song on the Record screen, after you allow it. The recording is saved on your phone and treated like any other song.
- Your settings and library. Song names, split stems, your practice settings and how many free splits you have used this month are stored on your phone only.
Deleting a song in Bandless removes its audio and stems. Uninstalling Bandless removes everything it stored on your phone.
Purchases
If you buy Premium, the payment is handled by Google Play (or the App Store on iPhone). We never see your card or bank details. To check that a subscription is valid and to unlock Premium on your phone, Bandless usesRevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives:
- a random identifier it creates for your installation of Bandless (not your name, email or Google account);
- your purchases and subscription status: product, price, currency, store country, dates, trial and renewal state;
- technical details needed to answer the request: IP address, device model, operating system and app version.
We use this only to provide Premium, handle renewals, cancellations and refunds, and see how many people subscribe. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf, in the United States. Google's own handling of your payment is covered by theGoogle Privacy Policy.
Ads in the free version
The free version of Bandless shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner in the song library and on the screen that shows a split's progress, one full-screen ad after a split finishes (at most every 10 minutes), and a video you can choose to watch for an extra split. Ads never play while you practice. Premium shows no ads, and Bandless does not request any for Premium subscribers.
To choose, show and measure ads, Google receives your device's advertising ID, IP address (and the rough location it gives), device and app information, and how you interact with the ads. Google uses this as described inHow Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Ads are only personalized where the law allows it and, in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, only if you agree: Bandless asks with Google's consent form the first time, and you can change your choice at any time under Premium → Ad choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android phones).
Your songs and recordings are never part of this: ads see none of your audio.
What Bandless does not do
- It has no accounts: you never give us your name or email to use it.
- It contains no analytics or tracking tools of our own.
- We do not sell personal data.
If a later version collects more, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety section before that version is released, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
This website
bandlessapp.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Our web host may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser and pages requested) for a short time to keep the site secure. The demo song on the home page plays in your browser.
How long we keep data
Data on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall Bandless. Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat for as long as you are a customer and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to withdraw consent. Because Bandless has no accounts, the easiest way for us to find your purchase records is the order number from your Google Play receipt (it starts with GPA.). Write tosupport@ramelo.id; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
You can cancel a subscription at any time in Google Play: Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Bandless Premium.
Children
Bandless is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. A parent who believes their child has bought Premium can contact us to have the purchase records deleted.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
